April's Community Pubs Month gives pubs a campaign to focus promotions around and try some new marketing and communication methods to try and attract more custom. CAMRA has designed a campaing poster and empty belly poster for pubs, this will be available for pubs to download and use soon.
A staggering 40% of people no longer visit the pub and only 14% of adults visit the pub once a week or more. 23% of pub-goers have stated in independent research, published by CAMRA in January 2015, that they visit the pub less often than they did just 12 months ago.
With 29 pubs closing every week and pubs experiencing these worrying trends, we would like to encourage everyone to visit the pub in April to show your support for British pubs. Pubs are a great place to socialise, and that does not always mean having to drink alcohol. A great community pub is adaptable to the needs of its locals offering the perfect social environment for all to enjoy.
